The team at Whangaparaoa Veterinary Centre understand this and have a great way of calming both human and feline down during the appointment! The team have always gone out of their way to give top notch experienced care to our furry family members, their advice is sound and easy to follow and best of all, their great service is affordable. Cats are fickle beings, it is really all about them! The team recognise this and our cats are made to feel welcome and are handled gently through the whole experience. This leaves a calm and content feline, who emerges from the cage with nose in air when arriving home. In November last year, our little 2 and a half year old miniature schnauzer, Daisy, underwent an extensive program of chemotherapy, of approximately 6 months duration.
Daisy was diagnosed as having lymphoma by Dr. Shanti Scott, a condition which meant that she only had about six weeks to live. Dr. Scott explained to us all possible options and Daisy underwent a few difficult months as she received intravenous chemotherapy.
Throughout the whole of her treatment, all the staff at Whangaparaoa Vet Centre were very caring and supportive, always approachable, and at times, admitting Daisy overnight for several nights as they cared for her during the tough times.
Daisy was always welcomed despite her over-the-top enthusiasm and is now quickly returning to her old self with regrowth of her coat and boisterous behaviour.
We look forward to enjoying Daisy's company for hopefully many years to come.

The environment for Puppy Preschool was great, safe, and just what our puppy needed. We really enjoyed seeing the rest of the surgery, knowing now where surgery etc is performed puts us at rest and reassures us. Eileen was amazing. We had our cat "Charlie" in with the wonderful staff at Whangaparaoa Vet Clinic to have her teeth cleaned and a medical check up. I can't thank them enough for the attention and care they gave her that day. They verbally outlined everything that had been done for Charlie during the day and sent us home with a folder stating the details with before and after photos of her teeth. Baikal has recently undergone a surgery (Bladder stones removal). Having to put your pet through something like this is not easy and is quite stressful, however your wonderful team were very caring and supportive, always approachable and would always try to explain things in as much details as possible and would meet us for more consultations. Special thank you to friendly and welcoming nurses Jaskarn Singh, Eileen Mowat and Amber Corney. I'm over the moon with Lola's clean teeth and fresh breath. (Lola is a 5 year old Chihuahua who wouldn't even let us look at her teeth, or cut her claws), she had very bad breath and I suspected something was amiss, sure enough she needed 3 extractions and a clean and scale. I'm so glad I had it done, I was nervous because she's really small and anxious and had to be asleep for the procedure, but she breezed through the whole thing! Her breath is fresh as a daisy now, and claws done. Thanks Claire!”
Went to see Monique yesterday with my incredibly itchy and miserable cat. After thorough examination and treatment of him, within three hours of returning home, he started showing strong signs of his normal smoochy and friendly behaviour. Can’t thank Monique enough for getting Mowgli back to his old self.
